BADIN: Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro visited different areas of Badin district, where a number of local leaders and workers announced their decision to join the PPP.
Khuhro addressed gatherings in Badin, Kadhan and Luari Sharif and described the PPP as a broad political party with a history of sacrifice.
Local businessman and social figure Muhammad Nadeem Mughal, Khan Sahib Allah Bachayo Memon, Jahan Khan Chandio of Kadhan, Ali Dino Chandio and others were among those associated with the joining events.
Speaking at the gatherings, Khuhro said the participants from Badin had made what he described as a timely decision by joining the PPP and welcomed them into the party.
Addressing Muhammad Nadeem Mughal, Khuhro referred to his heart surgery and said the party welcomed him as he joined with a "new heart."
Khuhro also addressed union council chairmen present at the event and suggested that part of their monthly funds should be spent on solar systems for low-income households.
He proposed that Rs300,000 from monthly union council funds should be used for solar initiatives so that deserving families could receive support for electricity at the local level.
